OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage service that allows users to securely store, access, and share files from any location.
When sharing files or folders in OneDrive, select only the specific item you intend to share. Avoid sharing root-level folders such as Documents, Desktop, or other top-level directories, as this can unintentionally grant broad access. By default, folders inherit permissions from their parent folder. If a parent folder is shared, all subfolders and files within it may also be accessible to others. Review permissions carefully before sharing and adjust access as needed.
Regularly review shared files and folders to ensure permissions remain appropriate and remove access that is no longer required.
