FAQ Section:
Q: Who can see my video after I move it?
Visibility depends on the folder permissions. Videos placed in assignment folders are typically visible only to you, your instructor, and users with permission to access that folder.
Q: Should I move or copy my video?
Move: Transfers the video to the new location and removes it from the original folder.
Copy: Creates a duplicate and keeps the original video in its current location.
If you want to maintain a personal backup, use Copy.
Q: How do I share a Panopto video link with my instructor?
- Open the video.
- Select Share in the upper-right corner.
- Verify the access settings allow viewing.
- For most academic submissions, it is recommended to set the video to: Your Organization (Unlisted)
Copy the link and paste it into your assignment, discussion, or email as needed.
Q: Can I move multiple videos at once?
Yes. Select the checkboxes next to each video and use the Move option to transfer them to the same folder.
Q: Will moving a video affect the recording itself?
No, moving a video only changes the location within Panopto. The video content, captions, and analytics remain intact.
