This article provides steps for moving or copying emails between folders in Microsoft Outlook.
Move an Item to Another Folder
- Open Outlook.
- Select the item.
- Drag and drop the item into the desired folder in the folder pane or right-click the item, select Move, and choose the destination folder.
- The item will be moved to the selected folder.
Copy an Item to Another Folder
- Open Outlook.
- Select the item you want to copy.
- Right-click the item and select Copy.
- Choose the destination folder.
- A duplicate of the item will appear in the selected folder, while the original remains in place.
Move Multiple Items at Once
- Hold the Ctrl key and select multiple items.
Alternative: Hold Shift to select a range of items.
- Drag and drop the selected items into a folder or right-click one of the selected items and choose Move.
