Microsoft Outlook - Move or Copy Items to Another Folder

This article provides steps for moving or copying emails between folders in Microsoft Outlook.

 

Move an Item to Another Folder

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select the item.
  3. Drag and drop the item into the desired folder in the folder pane or right-click the item, select Move, and choose the destination folder.
  4. The item will be moved to the selected folder.

 

Copy an Item to Another Folder

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select the item you want to copy.
  3. Right-click the item and select Copy.
  4. Choose the destination folder.
  5. A duplicate of the item will appear in the selected folder, while the original remains in place.

 

Move Multiple Items at Once

  1. Hold the Ctrl key and select multiple items.
    Alternative: Hold Shift to select a range of items.
  2. Drag and drop the selected items into a folder or right-click one of the selected items and choose Move.
