Microsoft OneDrive - Restore Deleted Files or Folders

Deleted files and folders in OneDrive can be restored from the Recycle Bin within a limited time period.

 

Restore a File or Folder in OneDrive

  1. Sign in to OneDrive.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select Recycle bin.
  3. Locate the file or folder you want to restore.
  4. Select the item, then choose Restore.

The item will return to its original location in your OneDrive.

Important:

  • Files in the Recycle Bin are only kept for 93 days before permanent deletion.
  • If the item is no longer in the Recycle Bin, it cannot be recovered through OneDrive.
