High Efficiency File Format (HEIF) images files are used by MAC operating systems.
In order for the Windows operating system to open a HEIF file, an extension is needed.
To obtain the extension:
- Access this Microsoft Page
- Select Get
- Allow the prompt to open the Microsoft Store. You may be prompted to log in.
- Select Get again to install the extension.
- Attempt to open the image files again.
Note: This process may not work for all HEIF/HEIC images. We recommend using more compatible image file formats (jpg, png, gif etc).
