Introduction
JMP Student Edition is a free version for any qualified academic user who can be authenticated as a member of the university via SSO login. JMP Student Edition has all the functionality as the JMP Academic Suite that was previously used at the university. It has the advantage of the download process being hosted by JMP without requiring any fees or legal agreements with the university. In addition to the same functionality, this product allows for academic research and classroom use. The software can still be loaded on classroom and lab computers, as well as virtually deployed.
Create An Account
1. Visit the JMP website.
2. Click the orange button to sign up for a My JMP account.
3. To register, please use your university email address.
4. Once your "My JMP ID" is created, fill out the form with your course name, academic institution, and affiliation. Then, submit the form to get to the next step.
5. To authenticate, select UTRGV from the list and provide your login credentials as usual. No data will be transmitted, and you will receive a notification that your login was successful.
6. After authentication, you are now entitled to order the free JMP Student Edition. The free product is added to your shopping cart, and all you'll need to do is click the "Checkout" button.
7. Continue with the checkout process and provide your shipping address, confirm the subscription agreement, and order your JMP Student Edition. Then, click the "Place Order" button!
8. Allow up to ten minutes for it to set your permissions. After this, go to the Software License section of your JMP Store account and follow the guidance on how to download and activate the software.
NOTE: If you are authorized for a JMP software product by your software administrator, your software is ready to use. Contact your software administrator if you receive a message that you are not authorized.
Install JMP
1. Click the "JMP Subscription Installer Download via My JMP" link from the Software License section of your JMP Store account.
2. On the Software Downloads page, select "JMP Student Edition"
3. Download the installer file for your OS
4. Launch the installer file to install JMP Student Edition.
5. Launch JMP Student Edition
6. Sign into My JMP by entering your email address. A verification code will be sent to that email address to complete the sign-in.
