UTRGV computers auto-update once they are connected to the UTRGV network (on-campus or via VPN). If the computer has not been connected for a while, it may take a while and require multiple reboots.
Security updates are normally scheduled to be installed on Friday to minimize vulnerability risks and maintain a high level of protection on all UTRGV-owned Windows and Mac computers across all UTRGV campuses. (NOTE: If a computer is off, updates will occur on the next power-up.) Scheduled security updates are published in the UTRGV Messenger Daily Updates.
