Stop MFA Prompts on Eduroam with Apple Devices

Resources such as PeopleSoft and Office 365 are protected by Multifactor Authentication (MFA) when accessed from a non-UTRGV network.  If you are receiving MFA prompts when connected to UTRGV's eduroam network, the setting below may remediate the issue.

MAC Computer

Go to System Preferences, Network, Select Wi-Fi on the left, then uncheck the Limit IP Address Tracking option.

macOS Network settings window with Wi‑Fi selected in the left menu and Limit IP Address Tracking shown as unchecked.

iOS Devices (iPhone / iPad)

  • Select Settings.
  • Select Wifi.
  • Tap thei” symbol next to eduroam.
  • Slide the switch for Limit IP Address Tracking to OFF (to the left, so it's greyed out).

iPhone Wi‑Fi settings for the eduroam network showing options including Limit IP Address Tracking, which is turned off.
