Introduction:
D2L Brightspace is UTRGV’s next-generation Learning Management System (LMS), designed to provide students and faculty with a modern, user-friendly experience. It offers enhanced tools for accessing course materials, submitting assignments, engaging in discussions, and staying on top of your academic progress, all in one convenient platform.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- 1. Log into the UTRGV Portal
- Open a web browser and navigate to my.utrgv.edu.
- Enter your UTRGV credentials (email and password) to log in
- 2. Select the Brightspace Icon
- Inside the portal, locate and click the Brightspace Icon. You will be redirected to the Brightspace platform

- 3. You’re now logged into Brightspace and can access your courses!
FAQ Section:
Q: When will courses become available to students?
A: Courses will become available to students on the first day of the semester. However, instructors have the option to open courses earlier at their discretion.
Q: I registered for a course, but I don’t see it on Brightspace. Why?
A: First, confirm that the course is being delivered via Brightspace.
- Log in to ASSIST and check the delivery method for the course
- Keep in mind that during the pilot program, only select courses are on Brightspace. Most courses will remain on Blackboard until the full Brightspace launch in Summer 1
Q: I confirmed my course is delivered on Brightspace, and I am officially registered, but I still don’t see it. What should I do?
