Uploading PDFs to Brightspace

To use PDFs from your desktop computer, you will need to store them on Brightspace to select them on the Hypothesis Document selector:

  1. 1. From the Course Home page, click Content on NavBar to enter the Content area of your course.
  2. 2. On the left sidebar, click the +New Unit and title it ‘Hypothesis Readings PDFs’.
    • PLEASE ADVISE: You may want to add an optional description informing students not to open any of the PDFs from this location and directing them to the appropriate unit that contains the Hypothesis reading assignments.
    • At the bottom of the page click the eye icon to make the unit visible to students. (This must be selected so Hypothesis has access to the document location)
  3. 3. Click the Save and Close button to finish.
  4. Click on Content, then "New Unit", Rename to your hypothesis PDF and click save to see your new folder

  6. 4. With the new “Hypothesis Reading PDFs” unit selected, click the Add Existing button.

  8. click on the "add existing" button for your folder.

  10. 5.  At the bottom of the “What would you like to add?” page, select browse or drag and drop PDFs into the file uploader.

  12. Drag and drop PDF files from her computer

  14. 6.  Back at the Content page, select the uploaded PDF from the “Hypothesis PDFs” unit and click the eye icon to make the document visible.

  16. Back at the Content page, select the uploaded PDF from the “Hypothesis PDFs” unit and click the eye icon to make the document visible.
