Creating a Hypothesis Assignment in Brightspace


Introduction:

This article describes the steps for creating a Hypothesis Assignment in your Brightspace course.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

To create a Hypothesis Assignment, we now move to the Content area of your course:

  1. 1. Select the Unit where you will be adding the assignment.
  2. 2. In the Content area, click on the Add Existing activities.
  3. Select the Unit you will be adding the assignment & on the Content area, click on the Add Existing Activities
  4. 3. Select the link titled Hypothesis Reading.
  5. select the link titled "Hypothesis Reading"
  6. 4. From the Assignment details, select D2L to use stored PDF.
  7. From the Assignment Details, select D2L to use stored PDF.

  9. 5. Locate the file in the Unit where the PDF file is located and select the file.
  10. Locate the file in the Unit where the PDF file is loacted and select the file.

  12. 6. Title the assignment, configure if this will be a group assignment, and select continue. Please advise: For group assignments, you will need to have existing groups created. Go to the section “Configuring Hypothesis Group Assignment” to configure these settings.

  15. 7. The new Hypothesis Assignment has been created in your Unit. Select the eye button to make it visible to students. Select the link to open the annotation features of Hypothesis. Please advise: Visibility is needed so Hypothesis has access to the document location!
