We are excited to introduce our HTML Page Templates designed to enhance your online teaching experience. These templates were created to help you seamlessly integrate essential course components into your Brightspace courses. Below, you'll find a detailed overview of each template and how to use them effectively.
Available HTML Page Templates:
Syllabus Template
Our Syllabus Template includes all the required sections for the university syllabus. It ensures that your syllabus is comprehensive and meets UTRGV standards.
Course Map Template
The Course Map Template helps you map out course and module objectives with assigned learning materials, activities, and assessments for the entire course. This template ensures alignment and clarity throughout your course that you will provide your students.
Overview Tabs Template
The Overview Tabs Template allows instructors to introduce the topic of each module. Learning objectives, assigned readings, and activities are organized into easily navigable tabs, providing a clear structure for students.
Overview Deliverables Table Template
This template provides an area to introduce the module, objectives, and assigned readings. It includes a Deliverables Table that shows the alignment of the week's activities, helping students stay on track with their assignments and assessments.
What Next Template
The What Next Template includes a conclusion section where you can summarize or close the unit's content. It also provides Next Steps, directing students to the next module, ensuring a smooth transition between units.
Welcome Page Template
The Welcome Page Template offers instructors a space to welcome students to the course. It includes sections to share how the course is structured and what students should do next, setting a positive tone from the start.

How to Use the HTML Page Templates:
- You can Create a New or Edit an existing page.
- Select the HTML Template option.
- If creating a new page, click Select Template just above the WYSIWYG editor.
- If editing existing content, copy your content (templates will overwrite), then click Select Template.
- Paste content back in with new formatting. Some editing is necessary.
- From the template list, choose one of the templates provided. There are default templates Brightspace has provided, along with those we have created for you.
- Press Save or Save and Close.
