This step-by-step guide helps instructors insert the McGraw Hill tool link into their Brightspace course, providing students easy access to assignments, resources, and interactive learning materials.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Pairing your Course:
- 1. Navigate to your Brightspace course and select the course you would like to pair with McGraw Hill Connect.
- 2. To add the external tool, click on the module you would like to pair with the connect tool.
- 3. Click Add Existing.

- 4. Once selected, click External Tool Activity.

- 5. Find and select the McGraw-Hill (Basic Link) tool.

- 6. Select the Connect (McGraw Hill).

- 7. Select Begin/Pair with a Connect Section.

- 8. Select Pair with a Connect Section or select Pair with New Connect Course.

- 10. Add Course Information.

- 11. If added with existing course, input the information and press Select.

- 12. Add course information and select create course (if any).
- 13. Congratulations you have paired your McGraw Hill Connect.
- 14. In this section, you have several options: you can go to my connect section, relink assignments, reset section pairing, and grade sync.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Deploying Assignments:
- 1. Once your course is paired, access the content area where you want to deploy the assignments.
- 2. Click on Add Existing.
- 3. Click on More.
- 4. Select McGraw-Hill.

- 5. Click on Go to my Connect Section.

- 6. Click on the Assignments tab.
- 7. Select the assignments you want to deploy to Brightspace.
- 8. Click the Options menu (three dots) and choose Deploy to Brightspace.

- 9. On the Deploy screen:
- Choose Grade Type (Best, Last, or Average).
- Click Deploy.
Once deployed, assignments will appear in your Brightspace module and automatically create gradebook items.
