How to manual import Respondus 4.0 files into Brightspace

Introduction:

This article goes over the process of manually importing a test created in the Respondus 4.0 test generator and importing it manually to your Brightspace course.

With Respondus 4.0:

  1. 1. Open Respondus and change to the "D2L Brightspace" personality.
  2. 2. Open the Respondus file and allow for any conversions.
  3. 3. Go to Respondus > Preview & Publish > Publish > Publish Wizard > "Export QTI XML for manual upload to Brightspace".

  4. 4. Select the appropriate preferences and save the file.
  5. Save file as

With Brightspace:

  1. 1. Access your course.
  2. 2. Select the "Course Admin" link.
  3. 3. Click "Import/Export/Copy Components".
  4. Import Components
  5. 4. Choose "Import Components" and "from a course package"; select Start.
  6. Import components from a package
  7. 5. In the Import Course Package, add the zip package associated with this text file.
  8. Attach file
  9. 6. Select Import All Components.

  10. 7. Click View Content.

  11. 8. Access Quizzes from the Activities menu and review the imported quiz.
  12. 9.  Edit the imported quiz and add additional quiz settings as needed.
