Creator+ is a set of integrated tools designed to help instructors create more engaging, interactive, accessible, and visually appealing course content directly within the Brightspace learning management system. It aims to simplify the content creation process without requiring coding or advanced technical skills.

Core Features and Components

Elements

These are pre-designed, interactive components that instructors can easily populate with their course content. Examples include:

Accordions: To present information in expandable sections.
Tabs: To break large blocks of information into distinct parts.
Click and Reveal: To hide information that is revealed upon clicking.
Callouts: To highlight key information.
Timelines: To present information in a chronological order.
Flip Cards: To display items or Q&As.
Stylized Quotes: To draw attention to quotations.
Carousels: To display a mini slideshow of images and text.
Hotspots: To make areas of an image clickable for more information.

Important: Elements do not integrate with Grades.

Practices

These are non-graded, self-assessment, or knowledge-check activities that instructors can embed within their content. They provide learners with immediate feedback.

H5P Interactives

H5P is a powerful tool that allows faculty to create, share, and reuse interactive content directly within the Brightspace learning management system. With H5P, educators can develop engaging activities such as quizzes, interactive videos, and presentations, which are seamlessly embedded into their courses.

How to access Creator+:

Create a new page or edit an existing page.
Click on the Creator+ Authoring Tool.
Select from the drop-down menu the type of content that you want to insert:
