Introduction:
The following instructions will allow you to insert a link in your Brightspace course that takes students and faculty to a specific activity in Student Learning & Licensure (SL&L).
Please note:
- Log in to
Watermark - Student Learning & Licensure to activate your account.
- An activity must be created in SL&L first, before it can be linked to D2L. Please sign in to
Watermark - Student Learning & Licensure to create your activities.
- Grade return does not work for Forced Submissions within SL&L. Students must access the SL&L activity via the assignment link within Brightspace in order for a grade to be successfully sent back.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- 1. Log in to your Brightspace faculty account and navigate to the Content tab for your course.
- 2. Click Add a Module or go to an existing module.
- 3. Click Add Existing.
- 4. Click on More.
- 5. Select Student Learning & Licensure (Deep link).
- 6. A list of SL&L activities will be displayed. Select one or multiple SL&L activities that you would like to link from your Brightspace course and click on Add Activities.
- 7. The SL&L activity or activities should be added under the unit/module you selected, as illustrated below:
- 8. Students or instructors may access SL&L activities directly from these links.
Note: The "Auto Create Grade Item" setting is enabled in the Brightspace LTI 1.3 integration to automatically create the grade item at the tool level. A Grade Item selection should not be made in the Brightspace assignment. Once students submit the activities, they are graded in SL&L. The grade column will be created, and the grade will be passed back to Brightspace.
