Introduction:
The Event Log in Brightspace Quizzes allows instructors to view detailed records of student quiz activity. This includes timestamps, saved responses, navigation between questions, submission details, and any interruptions during the attempt. Reviewing event logs is helpful for verifying quiz irregularities, investigating reports of technical issues, or confirming submission times.

- Then, on the course's navigation bar, go to Activities and Quizzes.

Troubleshooting Tips:
- • Can’t find the Event Log?
- Ensure you’re viewing a student’s attempt details page. The Event Log link won’t appear from the main Grade view.
-
- • No data showing in the Event Log?
- This may happen if the attempt was never opened or started by the student.
-
- • Quiz not appearing in the list?
- Verify that the quiz is active and has recorded attempts. Archived or deleted quizzes will not display.
-
- • Suspect technical issues?
- Compare the timestamps in the Event Log to reported outages or network interruptions. This helps determine if a timeout or lost connection occurred.
-
- • Need to verify extra time or reopen an attempt?
- Use Special Access in the quiz settings to adjust timing or regrant access to a student after confirming details in the Event Log.
