Get Academic Discounts on Tech Products for Personal Use

The HiED Tech Store allows students, faculty, and staff to take advantage of academic discounts on computer equipment, software, accessories, computer repair, and trade-in and warranty services for most computer brands.

New Users

1. Go to the HiEd website.
2. Click on PERSONAL PURCHASES.
3. Click on My Account at the top right of the page.
4. Fill in the following fields under CREATE AN ACCOUNT
   • Full Name: Enter your first and last name.
   • University Issued Email: Enter your UTRGV email address.
   • Password: Create a password for this site.
     • NOTE: DO NOT USE YOUR UTRGV PASSWORD.
   • Confirm Password: Re-enter the password you have created.
   • Select Eligible Customer Type:
     • College Student
     • Teacher
     • Other
   • Organization Name: Enter University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
5. Click CREATE AN ACCOUNT.

Returning Users

1. Go to HiEd website
2. Click on PERSONAL PURCHASES.
3. Click on My Account at the top right of the page
4. Sign in using your UTRGV email address and new password used to create the account. 
5. You may now begin using the HiEd Tech Store.
6. Search for Product(s) by keyword, SKU, category, or item#.
7. Add Product(s) to your cart. 

Checkout Process

1. Click Secure Checkout once you are done shopping.
2. Enter your Payment Information; you can use a credit or debit card.
   • Credit Card Type
   • Credit Card Number
   • Expiration Date
3. Enter your Billing Information
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Address of Person on Card
   • City
   • State
   • Zip
   • Phone Number

Review and Confirm your Information

1. Confirm that your Shipping Info and Billing Info are the same.
   • NOTE: Uncheck Shipping address is the same as billing address if you are shipping to a different address than previously listed and fill out the appropriate fields.
2. Check the I am 13 years of age or older box.
3. Click COMPLETE ORDER.
