The Cisco IP Conference Phone 8831 is used in conference rooms to support meetings and group calls. It allows users to place calls, join conference calls, mute microphones, and manage active calls.
Common Phone Tasks
Place a Call
- Dial the phone number using the keypad.
- Press the Call button to start the call.
Answer a Call
- Press the Answer option on the screen or press the Call button.
End a Call
- Press End Call to disconnect.
Mute or Unmute the Microphone
- Press the Mute button located on the sound base, display control unit, or microphone.
- When muted, the microphone indicator light is on.
Adjust Call Volume
- Use the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons during a call.
Place a Call on Hold
- Press Hold during an active call.
- To continue the call, select Resume.
Transfer a Call
- Press Transfer during a call.
- Dial the destination number.
- Press Transfer again to complete the transfer.
Start a Conference Call
- During an active call, press Conference.
- Dial the additional participant’s number.
- Press Conference again to connect all participants.
View Call History
- Press Apps, then select Call History.
- Select a call from the list to redial.
Forward All Calls
- Press Forward All.
- Enter the phone number where calls should be sent.
