Change or Reset Your P-Account Password

Change Your Password

(Use this option if you know your current password.)

Option 1: Use the Account Self-Service website

1. Go to myaccount.utrgv.edu
2. Select Change Password on the right side of the page.
3. Enter your username in the format p‑abc123@utrgv.edu.
4. Follow the on‑screen prompts to complete the process.

OR

Option 2: Use a UTRGV Windows computer

1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on the keyboard.
2. Select Change a password.
3. Enter your username in the format p‑abc123@utrgv.edu.
4. Follow the on‑screen prompts to complete the process.

Reset Your Password

(Use this option if you do NOT know your current password.)

If your p‑account is registered for MFA and has an alternate email address on file:

1. Go to myaccount.utrgv.edu
2. Select Reset Password or Unlock Account.
3. Enter your username in the format p‑abc123@utrgv.edu.
4. Follow the on‑screen prompts to complete the reset process.

Need Additional Help?

If the password change or reset options do not work, submit a Service Request to have your password reset by the Systems team.
Please include in the request that you have already attempted both the Change Password and Reset Password options.
