Zoom - Enable Closed Captions / Auto Transcription

Closed Captions and the Live Transcription feature is enabled by default for most users. 

 If needed to enable these services, follow the instructions below.

1. Log in to utrgv.zoom.us
2. In the navigation panel, select Settings.
3. Select the Meeting tab.
4. Select or scroll to In Meeting (Advanced).
5. Verify that Automated Captions is enabled.
6. If the setting is disabled, select the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, select Enable to verify the change.
7. After Closed Captioning is enabled, the option to enable live transcription will appear. Select the check box to enable live transcriptions in the meeting.
8. Select Save.  

 To disable these services (for confidentiality etc.), follow the instructions below.

1. Log in to utrgv.zoom.us
2. In the navigation panel, select Settings.
3. Select the Meeting tab.
4. Select or scroll to In Meeting (Advanced).
5. Verify that Automated Captions is enabled.
6. Select the toggle to disable it. If a verification dialog displays, select Disable to verify the change.
7. Select Save.
