Access FlatWorld Textbook Tool

Introduction:

This article covers how to access the FlatWorld Textbook tool in D2L/Brightspace.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. 1. Click on the Content tab of your Brightspace course.
2. 2. Open the module where you want to add FlatWorld content.
3. 3. Click on the Add Existing button.

5. 4. Click the More button for more options.

7. 5. Select FlatWorld Books from the list of third-party tools.

9. 6. This will direct you to the Add Activity window, where you can Search for your textbook by ISBN or Browse for it in our catalog.

• Once you select your course textbook, you can use the Link Book button to create a link to the textbook.
• The Link to this chapter option allows you to link to a specific chapter.
• Selecting the Section will embed a link to the particular section of the book in your LMS.

1. 7.The link to the textbook is now active, and clicking on it will take you and your students to the textbook within our online reader platform in a new window.
