After setting up your course in Brightspace, it’s important to ensure that students can access it at the right time.

Whether you want the course to be available throughout the term or only during specific dates, this step-by-step guide will walk you through how to manage your course’s availability and active status so students see it when you intend.


Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. 1. Log into Brightspace and access your course.
    • Click on [a] Course Admin, and find [b] Course Offering Information
  2. Course Admin
  3. 2. Under the Course Offering Information, scroll down until you see the Start Date and End Date subheadings.
    • (Optional) Change the Start Date and/or End Date as desired. Note: By default, courses display official semester start and end dates.
  4. Start Date and End Date
  5. 3. Click Save.
