The Surveys tool in Brightspace allows your instructor to gather feedback on course content, teaching methods, and overall learning experiences. Unlike quizzes, surveys are not graded; they are meant to collect your honest insights. Some surveys may allow only one submission, while others may let you save responses and edit them until the survey’s end date.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Log in to Brightspace and open your course.
2. Navigate to the survey. You may find it in one of these locations:
- A module under Content
- The course Calendar
- Directly in the Surveys tool under Tools in the course navigation bar
3. Click the survey name to begin.

To complete a survey

1. Read each question carefully and enter your responses.
2. If you want to pause and return later, click Save Responses.
3. When you are finished, click Submit Survey.
4. Confirm submission by selecting Yes in the pop-up confirmation window.

Anonymous Participation

NOTE: Anonymous survey responses cannot be tied to learning objectives.

• If your instructor has set the survey as anonymous, your identity will not be attached to your responses.
• Survey results are recorded collectively, so instructors can see overall trends without identifying who submitted which answers.

Viewing Shared Survey Results

If your instructor chooses to share survey results:

1. Navigate to the Surveys tool in your course.
2. Click the drop-down arrow beside the survey and select Reports.
3. Choose the report name from the list.
4. Select a time period if required.
5. Click Generate HTML to view the results.

Troubleshooting Tips:

• Survey not visible?
- Your instructor may not have released it yet. Check the start and end dates or contact your instructor.
• Can’t edit your responses?
- Editing is only possible if your instructor has enabled the option. Otherwise, surveys can only be submitted once.
• Browser issues?
- Use an updated browser such as Chrome or Firefox, and avoid using mobile browsers when possible.
