How to Use Smart Import

This article guides faculty through the use of the H5P Smart Import feature in Brightspace to quickly generate interactive learning activities from existing content.

Introduction:

H5P Smart Import is an AI-powered solution that automatically generates several interactive questions about a topic from uploaded documents, videos, or web URLs.

You can save time by easily creating interactive content with Smart Import.

To use Smart Import:

1. 1. From the module where you want to create content, click Create New > Page.
2. 2. In Brightspace Editor, click Authoring Tools > H5P Interactives.
3. 3. Click Smart Import.

5. 4. Click on New Import.

7. 5. Select the source for your content and upload it:

• Import from file
• Import from a web page
• Import from text
  

1. 6. Review a textual version of your content by clicking Review Text > Continue.

4. 7. Click Review Concepts and select all concepts to include in the interactive. Then click Continue.

6. 8. Click Select Content Types to add interactives and click Generate Content.

9. 9. Click See Content to review and edit the interactives.
