Introduction

In this article, we will go over how to set up the Multi-Factor Authentication for K16. Think of MFA as a digital double-lock: it ensures that even if someone guesses your password, they still cannot access your data without your physical verification device.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to the UTRGV Scaffold K16 instance from your computer.
2. When the MFA prompt appears at the top of the page, open the Authenticator App from your phone device, if installed.
3. Next, scan the displayed QR code using the (+) icon in the app's bottom-right corner.
4. Then, enter the MFA code from the Authenticator App into the provided field under the QR code.
   • Note: The codes refresh every 30 seconds in the Authenticator App.

5. Once MFA is enabled for your user account, you will need to enter both your password and the MFA code from the Authenticator App each time you log in.

Troubleshooting Tips

• Note: If your MFA needs to be reset, you will need to reach out to support.
