Microsoft Outlook - Create or Edit an Official UTRGV Email Signature in Outlook for Windows

All UTRGV employees are required to use the official UTRGV email signature template when sending emails from their UTRGV account. Email signatures must be created and maintained by the account holder.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Images in email signatures are only supported in the installed Outlook (desktop) application. Images will not display correctly in Outlook on the web.

 

Before You Begin

Download the official signature template from University Marketing and Communications.

 

Create a New Signature

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select New Email from the Home tab.
  3. In the Message tab, select Signature, then select Signatures.
  4. Under Choose default signature, select your UTRGV email account.
  5. Select New, then enter a name for your signature.
  6. In the Edit signature box, paste the official UTRGV email signature template you downloaded earlier.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Under Select default signatures:
    • In New messages, choose your UTRGV signature.
    • In Replies/forwards, choose your UTRGV signature.
  9. Select OK to save and close.

 

Edit an Existing Signature

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select New Email from the Home tab.
  3. In the Message tab, select Signature, then select Signatures.
  4. Under Select signature to edit, choose the signature you want to update.
  5. Make the necessary changes in the Edit signature box.
  6. Select OK to save your changes.
