Cascade is the university’s content management system (CMS) used to manage department websites. Editor access is only granted to users who are responsible for actively maintaining website content.
Important Information
- Access is limited to users who will regularly update website content.
- User activity is monitored. Accounts with little or no activity may have access revoked.
- If your department already has a Cascade editor (department website owner), contact them directly for content updates.
Request Editor Access
- Submit a Get Access request.
- Select the Request Access button.
- Complete the request form using the following details:
- Category: IT Resources
- Resource: Cascade
- Description: Enter:
Please add <user.name@utrgv.edu> to Cascade with editor access to <website name and URL>.
- Select Request to submit.
Additional Notes
- Submit a separate request for each website requiring access.
- Each user must submit their own request for individual access, even if multiple editors are needed for the same site.
- Access requests require multiple approvals. Allow 1–2 weeks for access to be granted.
