MATLAB – Access and Installation

MATLAB is a programming and numerical computing platform used for data analysis, visualization, and engineering applications. It is available to UTRGV students and faculty for academic use and can be installed on personal or UTRGV-managed devices.

Install MATLAB on Your Device

1. Go to MathWorks and select Create Account
2. Enter your UTRGV email address
3. Sign in with your UTRGV credentials when prompted
4. Complete the account registration form
5. Select Install MATLAB
   
6. Select Download
   • To choose a different operating system, use the dropdown menu before downloading.
     
7. Open the downloaded installer file from your Downloads folder or browser
8. Sign in with your UTRGV email when prompted
9. Follow the on-screen steps and select Begin Installation
