Request a Retiree Account

Body

Former employees do not retain access to their employee email account after separation. Once your status in the HR system officially reflects a retiree status, you may request a retiree email account. Please note that it may take some time for your HR records to update to retiree status due to leave processing or benefit-related situations.

Retiree Email Address Format

Retiree email addresses follow this format: First.Last@retiree.utrgv.edu

Important Notes

  • A UTRGV retiree email account is not required to set up or manage retiree benefits. A personal email account may be used instead.
  • Retiree accounts provide email access through a web browser only.
Retirees cannot sign in to the Outlook desktop or mobile app using a retiree email account.
  • Retiree accounts do not include access to other Microsoft 365 services, including OneDrive, Word, Excel, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Retiree accounts cannot be used to access campus Wi‑Fi.
