Brightspace Lumi Chat (24/7 Support)

Introduction:

Lumi Chat is an AI-powered help tool in Brightspace designed to make it easy to get the answers you need. Just click the speech bubble icon, and it’ll use smart AI to guide you to helpful articles and resources, all without leaving your course. Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. 1. Login to Brightspace.
2. 2. Click the Lumi Chat button (speech bubble icon on the bottom right corner) to open Lumi Chat.

4. 3. Type your Brightspace-related question into the text box and click Send message.
5. 4. Try the steps suggested by Lumi Chat or click the link to an article to read it.

7. 5. If you need further assistance, do one of the following:
   • Select Ask the Community to be directed to Brightspace Community to post your question in a discussion forum and receive answers from other Community members.
   • Select Contact Support for further assistance. The following options appear:
     • Call us: You will be given the phone number to contact the D2L end-user support team directly.
     • Email us: A case will be created from the tool and sent to the D2L end-user Support team.
     • Chat with us: Users can chat with a live D2L support agent while navigating through different areas of Brightspace.
