Taking Surveys

Introduction:

The Surveys tool in Brightspace allows your instructor to gather feedback on course content, teaching methods, and overall learning experiences. Unlike quizzes, surveys are not graded; they are meant to collect your honest insights. Some surveys may allow only one submission, while others may let you save responses and edit them until the survey’s end date.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. 1. Log in to Brightspace and open your course.
  2. 2. Navigate to the survey. You may find it in one of these locations:
    • A module under Content
  3. Open Survey [Grey Button]
    • The course Calendar
    • Directly in the Surveys tool under Tools in the course navigation bar
  4. 3. Click the survey name to begin.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Survey not visible?
    • Your instructor may not have released it yet. Check the start and end dates or contact your instructor.
  • Can’t edit your responses?
    • Editing is only possible if your instructor has enabled the option. Otherwise, surveys can only be submitted once.
  • Browser issues?
    • Use an updated browser such as Chrome or Firefox, and avoid using mobile browsers when possible.
