Set Up a Pin/Passcode on a Mobile Device (Active Sync)
To set up a Pin/Passcode on a mobile device:
iPhone/iPad
Go to
Settings.
Select
Passcode
or
Touch ID & Passcode or Face ID & Passcode.
Select
Turn
Passcode On
.
Select
Passcode Options
.
Select
Custom Alphanumeric Code.
Set a
Passcode with five or more characters
and
confirm.
Android
Press the
Home button
, then press the
Menu button.
Select
Settings
, then tap
Lock Screen
or
Security
.
Select
Screen Lock
or
Set Up Screen Lock
to change your device's password settings.
NOTE: Exact wording will vary depending on Android device model.
Select
Pin/Passcode
lock in the menu.
Enter the password you want to use.
Select the
Check Mark
to continue.
Enter the password
again
to
confirm
.
Select the
Check Mark
again
to
activate
password lock.
