EndNote Download, Installation, and Training

EndNote is a reference manager that helps you save time formatting citations.

UTRGV Windows Users:

  1. Close all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). 
  2. Search for Software Center on the lower left of the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen. 
  3. Click on Software Center.     
  4. Select EndNote from the list of applications.  
  5. Click on the Install button.  
     

Personal Computer or University MAC Computers

       MAC Users:  Please view this article from Clarivate Analytics regarding macOS Catalina compatibility.

  1. Log in to my.utrgv.edu.
  2. Click on Help and Downloads from the top menu.
  3. Click on the EndNote entry.
  4. Carefully follow the EndNote instruction sheet to download, install and license the software.

Please see this knowledge base article from Clarivant on how to sync your endnote library to an online account.  Follow the instructions and video to create an online account, backup your local library, and sync it to the cloud.  This will allow you to access your library online from a different computer.
