Important Information
All software installed on UTRGV‑owned computers, whether paid or free, must undergo an annual Technology Assessment before it can be purchased or installed.
To view software that has already been assessed and approved, log in to the myUTRGV portal and navigate to the Software Inventory tab.
University‑Licensed Software Installation
Approved university‑licensed software can be installed using the self‑service tools below, without needing to contact the IT Service Desk. Select the option that applies to your operating system.
Windows Computers
- Open the Software Center or Company Portal application.
- Select the software you want to install.
- Choose Install and follow the on‑screen prompts to complete the installation.
macOS Computers
- Open the Self Service application.
- Select the software you want to install.
