Filevault - Logging Into on Mac: Initial Login Screen on Newer Mac Computers

Body

Newer Mac computers with the M1 processor require logging in to FileVault with your identifier upon power-up or restart.  Newer Mac computers display a single username and password combination on the login page(macOS Sonoma). (Older Mac computers display a list of users on the login screen and accept your UTRGV email address as the username).

Enter your UTRGV identifier [abc123 format] and your password at the login screen.
