Domain Hosting and Registration Request

What Is It?

UTRGV departments can request web hosting and domain registration for official content.

Guidelines

  1. Preferred Namespace: Use the .utrgv.edu domain whenever possible.
  2. Commercial Domains: Consider a commercial domain (e.g., .COM, .NET, .ORG) if:
    • It involves collaboration with external organizations.
    • It’s not a UTRGV department or unit.
    • It won’t harm UTRGV branding.
    • It’s tied to a grant or external funding.
    • It’s part of an outsourced solution.
