Microsoft provides official training resources with step-by-step guides and short tutorials.
Visit Microsoft Teams Training (Microsoft Learn) for tutorials on:
- Using breakout rooms (assign participants, manage sessions, move between rooms)
- Scheduling Teams meetings from Outlook

Install Microsoft Teams
UTRGV Computers
Microsoft Teams is typically preinstalled on UTRGV-managed devices.
If Teams is not available:
- Open Software Center or Company Portal on Windows, or Self Service on Mac.
- Search for Microsoft Teams.
- Select Install and follow the prompts.
All Devices (UTRGV and Personal)
Microsoft Teams can also be installed using Microsoft 365.
- Sign in to the myUTRGV Portal.
- Select Microsoft 365 under Applications.
- Complete multifactor authentication (MFA) if prompted.
- Open the App launcher (grid icon) and select Teams.
- In the Teams web app, select Settings and more (three dots).
- Select Get the desktop app.
- Select Download and run the installer.
- Follow the installation prompts.
