After the migration from Blackboard to Brightspace, it is important to carefully review your course to ensure all content, tools, and settings are properly configured in the new Learning Management System. Below is a list of items to consider when reviewing your course.

In the table below, please review all your content in your Brightspace course, and update any references to Blackboard to reflect the new Learning Management System, Brightspace D2L.
Tools not transferable from Blackboard to Brightspace:
Brightspace does not transfer blogs, journals, or wikis. Journals can be created through the Assignments tool, blogs and wikis can be created using the discussion tool.
Third-party tools links will break, be sure to update and relink publisher’s and LTI integrations.
Due Dates
- Due dates will transfer but must be updated for the new semester for all content items such as announcements, assignments, quizzes, units, modules, etc.
Settings on Assignments, Tests, and Discussions
- Settings will be transferred as closely as possible; however, faculty should check to verify all additional settings such as the submission type, allowed number of files, allowed number of submissions, attaching rubrics, adding release conditions, managing special access, etc.
