Unofficial Brightspace Enrollment Request


What is it?

This form allows faculty and staff to request Brightspace enrollments for UTRGV users who are not officially listed in ASSIST, or to enroll users in Brightspace organizations.

Please Note: For official ASSIST courses, the Student role is only available to users who are officially enrolled. Auditing a course does not grant access to online platforms such as Brightspace, nor does it permit participation in exams, graded assignments, or class discussions. For more information, please refer to our Enrollment policies.  


Who is Eligible to use it?

Faculty and staff are eligible to submit this form. In some instances, additional approval may be required.


Steps to Request:

  1. 1.Select the blue Request Service button on this page 
  2. 2.Enter Requestor information 
  3. 3.Indicate your role in relation to this Request?
  4. 4.Indicate if the request is for a Course or an Organization
    • A Course is an official course offering (ex, MATH-1301-01-Fall2025) 
    • An organization is a departmental or training site (ex, Environmental Health and Safety) 
  5. 5. Provide the Course/Organization name as it appears on Brightspace
  6. 6. Select the number of users to enroll  
  7. 7. Provide Enrollment Information
    • UTRGV Email
    • Role 
  8. 8.Indicate the reason for this request and how the user will participate in the course or organization 
  9. 9.Submit
