Steps to Request

Please submit a request to reserve a lab at least five days in advance.
How to Submit the Reservation Request

  1. Click on the blue Reserve computer lab button on the right of this page.
  2. Log in with your UTRGV credentials.
  3. Click on I.T. Computer Labs link on the Left Side
  4. Enter contact Information
  5. Enter event Name, Type, Description, Campus, and the number of attendees for the event.
  6. Enter any specific software that is needed in the Software Requirements field.
  7. Under Contact Information, for Department Name, select Academic Computing Labs.
  8. Enter your name and email if the "Contact Name" and "Contact Email" fields are not automatically filled in.
  9. Enter Contact Phone, Meeting/Course: Name, Number & Section, Instructor Name, Instructor Email.
  10. Select Yes in Police Services Needed field if the event will take place outside of computer lab hours.

Event Meetings

  1. At the bottom of the reservation page, click Add meeting.
  2. Enter Meeting Name.
  3. Select Meeting type from the dropdown menu.
  4. Meeting Recurrence
  5. If the event is a one-time meeting, select the date under the Single Meetings tab and enter the start and end times for the event.
  6. If the event is recurring, select the Recurring Tab and specify whether the event occurs daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. If the event is weekly, the days on which the event occurs can be specified.
  7. At the bottom of the page are a start and end date. These will be the beginning and end dates of the recurring event.
  8. Click on Create once the times and dates have been specified.

Meetings

  1. Click the check box next to the meeting/event that was created.
  2. Click on Request Rooms tab.
  3. Under Capacity, enter a number to filter out computer labs that do not meet your capacity requirements.
  4. Select or unselect Rooms to narrow search results.
  5. Click on the Available (Avail) section next to the room name and click Ok.
  6. Click Submit on the top left side.
  7. A confirmation screen will appear notifying you that the request has been submitted.
  8. Note: Once the event has been processed, a confirmation email will be sent.

Requesting to Reserve a Lab Less Than 5 Days Away

  1. If the requested event is closer than 5 days away, email IT-ComputerLabs@utrgv.edu for reservation requests.
