eFax allows active UTRGV employees to send and receive faxes directly from Microsoft Outlook and offers several benefits.  All UTRGV employees can send an eFax from their UTRGV email account.

  • Secure fax delivery
  • No need to use a fax machine or All-in-One Device to send eFaxes
  • Electronic faxes eliminate the need for hard copies, which can get lost, misplaced, etc.
  • Effectively administer hundreds of fax servers and services.  


An eFax telephone number and department email are required to receive eFaxes.

Request a New eFax number

Use the Request Service button to submit a request and enter the following for the noted fields:

  • Short Description:  Add new eFax telephone number.
  • Service Request Description:   Add new eFax telephone number and link it to [UTRGV departmental email account].

Note: eFaxes will only be sent to a department email. A department email address is required to link the eFax telephone number. If you do not have a department email account, please request one
