Installation Restrictions
IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS®):
- Can ONLY be used for University-related academic work or research
- CANNOT be used in hospitals or clinics
- CANNOT be used for University operational or administrative purposes (non-academic or non-educational)
To download and install on a University-owned computer on the University's network:
UTRGV Windows Computers - When off campus, connect via VPN.
- Windows computer: Search for and open the Software Center app.
MAC computer: Search for and open the Self Service app.
- Select IBM SPSS Statistics 28.* from the list of applications.
- Click Run.
- Click Download to begin the installation.
- Click Run.
UTRGV Mac Computers - When off campus, connect via VPN.
- Click the Launchpad icon.
- Open Self Service.
- Select SPSS from the list of applications.
- Click Install to begin the installation.
